Textiles

The Textiles program is all about working with fabrics and yarns. The interns learn to work with knitting looms, lap looms and standard sewing machines creating some of their own designs of hats, scarves and handbags. There are also opportunities for learning Jewelry making. Crocheting, and needlepoint. 

Besides learning the equipment, they learn how to work in teams and follow directions given by their supervisors. Students also learn service skills, money skills, bagging and customer interaction at sale events.
