Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts gives the opportunity for each intern to gain practical experience in selecting, purchasing, planning and serving foods for individuals and groups.

Emphasis is placed on developing the intern's ability to assist in meal planning and preparation. The completion of all tasks, utilizing the same tools found in any professional kitchen, safely and independently. 

The interns also practice communication skills needed to serve the public, the development of appropriate workplace behavior and safe and sanitary kitchen clean up skills. Interns learn to work in teams, take orders from supervisors and know the responsibility of having a job.
