Special Beans

Special Beans in Miller's very own on-site coffee shop. Interns and staff make purchases and hang out in the shop during nutrition and lunch.

The coffee shop is not a typical  Miller work program. Interns who want to work in the coffee shop must apply and interview for a position. Once hired they must follow their weekly shift schedule and find coverage for the days they need to be absent.

While in the shop, interns learn how to operate small appliances, take orders, run a register, and work in a fast paced environment. A majority of the interns who apply to and work at Special beans move onto more independent programs, like the B.E.S.T. and C.R.E.S.T. programs.
