Construction

Construction is designed to allow interns to gain practical experience in the construction field.

Working in a fully outfitted shop, Interns learn to use hand and power tools, including  hammers, square levels, handsaws, power drills, and hand sanders to name a few. 

 Interns learn job related skills including: Being on time, working an assigned task to completion either working independently or in groups.

Soft skills are always stressed as part of construction, including wearing appropriate clothing for work (uniforms), preparing for the work day, work attitude and as mentioned earlier, working with others to accomplish a shared goal / task.
